A 1970’s modestly scaled bungalow enjoyed a generous plot with fantastic views to the South over paddocks and farmland. Our Client’s objectives for the project were to significantly increase the existing floor space as well as give the house a comprehensive external makeover.
This has been achieved by raising the roof and adding a completely new storey allowing a new double height top lit entrance hall complete with internal climbing wall that creates a dramatic and energetic introduction to the interior. A luxurious master bedroom suite is located at first floor with a large roof terrace that soaks up the beautiful rural views.
The external appearance is radically altered by re-cladding the facades in a combination of wood and render creating a contemporary, modern expression but still recalling the agricultural heritage of the area.
