Clients, whose previous house we refurbished and extended a few years ago, asked us to get involved with their new period terraced property located within a sensitive Conservation Area in the Centre of Cambridge.

This was our second time working with Mark and Amanda. They were invaluable to our building project; turning the tired, dated terraced house we purchased into a unique family home. From initial concept through to design and working with awkward planning departments, they always made us feel as though they were in control and our dreams could be realised. Mark and Amanda were a pleasure to work with and if we ever undertake another project they will be our first call.

Clients, whose previous house we refurbished and extended a few years ago, asked us to get involved with their new period terraced property located within a sensitive Conservation Area in the Centre of Cambridge.

The project included a side-return and rear extension as well as a reconfiguration of the ground floor to create an open plan but zoned series of linked living spaces. Existing brick walls were exposed and other finishes and lighting introduced to create a slightly ‘reclaimed’ look appropriate to the period of the house and ensuring an interesting interplay of colour, light and shade.
