Clients & projects: Edwardian Semi

A two-storey extension to the side and rear of this semi-detached Edwardian period home provides larger and greatly improved living accommodation which is much more conducive for modern family living.

The ground floor extension allows the new open plan kitchen, dining and snug to engage with the large rear garden and makes the most of the underutilised space to the side of the house. At first floor a new principal bedroom with ensuite is added.

A two-storey side & rear extension to this semi-detached Edwardian period home provides larger and greatly improved living accommodation and as a result is much more conducive for modern family living.

The ground floor extension allows the new open plan kitchen, dining and snug to engage with the large rear garden and makes the most of the underutilised space to the side of the house. At first floor a new principal bedroom with ensuite is added.

The new two-storey extension is recessed well back from the main building frontage allowing the extension to be seen as subservient to the existing dwelling and therefore has little impact on the street scene.

The design of the new extension is complimentary and sympathetic to the existing dwelling and constructed in materials to match existing.
